Nu Skin Opens Shanghai Facility

THE WHAT? Nu Skin Enterprises, Inc. has opened a new manufacturing facility in Shanghai, China, representing an investment of approximately $55 million. This facility aims to boost the company’s production capacity and supply chain efficiency in China and other Asian markets.

THE DETAILS  Located in the Fengxian District of Shanghai, the 440,000 square feet facility is designed with advanced Industry 4.0 standards, including automation and data-driven systems. It also adheres to green building standards for energy and water conservation. The opening ceremony attracted over 200 attendees, including local government and industry representatives. Nu Skin also operates manufacturing facilities in the United States through its Rhyz Inc. subsidiary, which serves Nu Skin and 120 other customers.

THE WHY? The new Shanghai facility is part of Nu Skin’s long-term strategy in China, where it has been operating for 20 years. According to Ryan Napierski, Nu Skin’s President and CEO, the investment in this facility, along with their China headquarters, highlights their commitment to making China a key center for research, development, and manufacturing. The facility is designed to increase production capabilities and improve operational efficiency in the region.
