Henkel Nigeria launches ‘safe space’ for female entrepreneurs

THE WHAT? Henkel Nigeria has launched a platform designed to give women the opportunity to discuss the issues that affect their day-to-day lives, such as business, health and wellness, finance, relationships and motherhood, among others, according to a report published by the Independent.

THE DETAILS Dubbed LyaHenry, the ‘safe space’ will be open to female entrepreneurs, graduates and experienced professionals, equipping them with the skills they need to excel in their chosen fields.

THE WHY? Chidera Akwuba, Transformation Manager at Henkel Nigeria told the Independent that the move was part of the German FMCG manufacturer’s contribution towards women’s socio-economic development and aligns with its 2023 International Women’s Day theme, DigitALL, innovation and technology for gender equality.
