The range is said to build upon her previous two make-up collections, drawing on the reality TV star’s extensive experience of near-daily glam throughout her 20-year career.

THE DETAILS According to a report published by WWD, the new range comprises lipsticks, liners and an eye shadow palette in a selection of nude shades.

THE WHY? Kardashian shuttered her KKW make-up brand in 2022 following Coty’s purchase of a 20 percent stake in the line, promising to relaunch. She told WWD, “I think you just know how you want to make things better. The lip liner glides on a little bit better. Everything is in the minor details. As a perfectionist… I feel like the customer will feel the elevation.”

THE DETAILS According to a report published by The Korea Herald, the Korea Fair Trade Commission fined Coupang KRW3.3 billion for unfair practices. Coupang’s appeal is pending.

THE WHY? A spokesperson for Coupang told The Korea Herald, “Coupang has been in discussions with LG H&H on ways to resume the partnership. Coupang will continue to actively communicate and collaborate with its partners to provide customers with a greater choice of quality products.”

THE DETAILS According to a report published by WWD, Purifying Whipped Cleanser, Face Stick and Skin-strengthening Serum are formulated with ceramides, upcycled date seed extract and biometric tripeptide. Industry sources expect the brand to hit sales of US$3 million to US$5 million in its first year.

THE WHY? Dominque Gagnon, Vice President of Consumer Brands at Debut, told WWD, “We’re tapping into the new wave of preventative care, addressing what consumers can do in their 20s and 30s to sustain their skin health, versus repairing issues that have already occurred in terms of skin damage.”

THE WHAT? L’Oreal’s venture capital fund, BOLD has acquired a minority stake in Timeline. The Swiss biotech company has developed a proprietary molecule that is said to recycle and rejuvenate aging mitochondria. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

THE DETAILS “This strategic collaboration reflects the breakthrough multidimensional approach that we’ve always believed is necessary to make meaningful advancements for longevity and health span,” said Patrick Aebischer, Co-Founder and Chairman of Timeline. “I want to thank L’Oréal for its commitment to longevity solutions rooted in the highest level of science.”

THE DETAILS The Honey Pot Co will continue to be led by its current management team and existing owners and leadership will retain a ‘significant’ minority stake in the company. The deal is expected to close in February.

THE WHAT? SaSa International has announced its unaudited results for the third quarter of the current financial year. Sales hit a total of HK$1,182.2 million in the three months to December 31, 2023, up 36.7 percent yoy.

THE DETAILS Online sales grew 41.2 percent to HK$231.6 million and now account for 19.6 percebt of the group’s turnover, SaSa said. Offline sales rose an impressive 35.7 percent. Offline sales have now recovered to 49 percent of pre-pandemic figures.

THE WHY? SaSa explained in a statement that this Christmas was the first since borders fully reopened following the end of the pandemic and the Hong Kong government supported campaigns to boost local consumption.
